Altered Picture Frame

Hello again!  Hope y'all are having a great week!  I'm staying busy trying to get my craft room organized!  Right now I am trying to gather everything from every nook and cranny and it's amazing what you find - you realize you probably don't need to shop for craft supplies in the near future!  (And then I laughed and laughed...)

Today I want to share a picture frame I have altered.  I used a plain black frame from the Dollar Tree.

This might not have been possible without finding hidden treasures in my room!  I started by hot gluing white gathered ribbon on the edge of the frame.  I then glued loose white pearls in the groove on the frame (I would have used a strand of pearls but I haven't discovered their hiding place yet).  I then glued beige cotton lace around the inner edge.  I discovered the buttons in my stash and clipped of the backs and hot glued them with roses to the right lower corner.  I made a bow of ivory ribbon and glued it and placed roses around it.  I had to hunt to find a gold key!  When I was looking for the key I found feathers - I really, really like pink and black and I think the grey feathers added a little more shabby chic feel.  I took the paper from the frame and added a sentiment and ribbon to cream card stock as I am going to be sending the frame to someone.  I shall be making more! ~ Gracie
